Lupita Nyongo’s $US150K Oscars gown stolen

Stop the press. Lupita Nyong’o’s exquisite pearl encrusted Calvin Klein Oscars gown, worth $US150,000, has reportedly been stolen from her hotel room in Hollywood.

Made out of 6,000 Akoya pearls, the dress was reportedly taken from Nyongo’s room at the London West Hollywood between 8:00am and 9:00pm on Tuesday (LA time).

Los Angeles Police are investigating the theft, after they were contacted on Wednesday night.

The Oscar winning actress, who presented the Best Supporting Actor award at Monday’s ceremony, was considered one of the best dressed women at this year’s awards, making the Top 10 in The New Daily’s list.

The London Hotel said they are working with police, according to E! News.

“This is a terribly unfortunate situation, and we are working with law enforcement on their investigation,” the hotel’s statement read.
