As much as he is maligned for having the biggest mouth in the business, Kane West has changed music forever.

Better than his close collaborator Jay Z, more awe-inspiring than Beyonce’s showstopping performances, deeper than Taylor Swift’s pop kudos – there’s no doubt that the self-absorbed rapper has a gift.

But the 37-year-old is also known for his massive ego and uncensored interviews.

He’s even drawn the ire of US President Barack Obama, who labelled West a “jacka**” in 2009 after he interrupted Taylor Swift’s MTV Video Awards speech.

With the birth of his first child, his wedding to Kim Kardashian and a worldwide Yeezus tour this year, ‘Ye’, as he likes to call himself, has had even more reason to wax lyrical.
