5 Seconds of Summer sell tickets to own concert

Australia’s rising pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer has given its feverish female fans the surprise of a lifetime by personally selling tickets for an upcoming concert in Inglewood, California.

Many fans, including 13-year-old Trina Umana, camped out overnight at The Forum to get seats for the Aussie group’s first US headlining concert on November 15.

“I can’t speak right now. I’m too overwhelmed,” she sobbed after purchasing her tickets from guitarist Michael Clifford.

The rock/pop group consists of Sydney teens Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin.

The quartet is currently opening for One Direction on their Where We Are tour.

Their self-titled debut album featuring Top 40 hits She Looks So Perfect and Amnesia came out last week.

The band’s EP dropped in March and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Last week it was announced that the Aussie boys will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
