This past weekend, the MTV European Music Awards proved that the music industry has officially lost the plot. Lead by an out-of-control Miley Cyrus, popstars and rockers flashed excessive amounts of skin, gave outrageous stage performances and made us long for the days of Johnny Cash or Joni Mitchell. Perhaps the only thing that salvages the show is the presence of Will Ferrell’s obnoxious newsreader character from Anchorman, Ron Burgundy. It’s pretty clear from the photos that he is the only one who shares our confusion.
