Nicole Kidman has won the Film Actress award at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards in London.
Wearing a mauve lace Erdem gown on Tuesday night, the Australian actress expressed solidarity with Londoners after the weekend terrorist attacks which killed seven people, including two Australians.
“I’m so happy to be in London tonight, supporting England, supporting this city,” she told the Press Association.
“The city has always been so good to me. I got on a plane last night. It’s very important to be here in person and show everyone, the world, how strong this city is, show solidarity.”
US comedienne Amy Poehler took the Inspiration award, while actress Anna Kendrick was named Best Writer.
James Corden, now a huge success in the US with his talk show, was crowned Man Of The Year.
The Crown actress Vanessa Kirby won the gong for Best Actress on UK Television Screens.
