Blade Runner is back and so is Harrison Ford in this new trailer for the 2017 reboot of the beloved 1980s sci-fi flick.

Titled Blade Runner 2049, the reboot is set 30 years after the original film took place in a chillingly dystopian Los Angeles.

In the original, Ford played Rick Deckard, a police operative – or ‘blade runner’ – charged with chasing down rogue robots known as replicants.

According to IMDb, the 2049 version sees Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling play a new blade runner whose quest to “unearth a long-buried secret” leads him to Deckard, who has been missing for 30 years.

A teaser for the reboot, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario), hit the internet on Tuesday, showing Ford and Gosling locked in a dramatic stand-off.

“I had your job once,” Ford’s character can be heard saying. “I was good at it.”

“Things were simpler then,” Gosling’s character replies.

The remake, which hits cinemas in October 2017, has plenty to live up to given the original is widely regarded as one of the best sci-fi films of all time.
