No shaking ‘Furious 7’ from pole position

There’s no stopping Furious 7 as it holds on to its lead at the top of the Australian box office for the second week in a row.
With takings of over $7 million, its nearest rival is Cinderella which took in almost $3 million in its third week of release, according to the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia.
Children and family movies fared well over the Easter school holiday period with Fox animation Home sticking to the third spot, SpongeBob hanging on at four, and Shaun The Sheep climbing back up two spaces from number eight to six.

The Longest Ride, the latest Nicholas Sparks adapted film, took out fifth place.
Teen movies Insurgent and The Duff were in seventh and eighth positions, while Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart’s comedy Get Hard languished at number nine.
The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel rounded out the list at 10.
