Actor Will Smith has marked his 50th birthday, by bungee-jumping from a helicopter near the Grand Canyon.

And he captured the whole thing on a live stream on his YouTube channel.

In the video, Smith perches in the door of the helicopter and shakes his head saying: “Never look down.”

Smith then leaps out of the helicopter, plunging into a canyon, while friends and family members, including wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and children Trey Smith and Willow Smith looked on … as well as his 25 million YouTube subscribers.

“That s–t was terrifying,” he says. “Absolute terror to the most exhilarating thing.”

And while dangling from the helicopter, Smith says, “This is gorgeous. This is some of the most beautiful stuff I’ve ever seen in my life,”.

The leap came nearly six months after popular YouTubers Yes Theory challenged him to face one of his biggest fears.

Smith chose his 50th birthday to complete the task in order to raise awareness for Global Citizen’s education campaigns.
