Reese Witherspoon, meet Reese Witherspoon Lite.

Thirteen years after they started working together, the actress has gone public by whisking back the Hollywood curtain and introducing her longtime body double and apparent twin, Marilee Lessley.

The Oscar winner hit social media on Monday (US time) to invite Lessley – in a matching pale blue shirt, her hair and makeup identical to that of Witherspoon – to finally take a bow.

“Hey you guys, I want to introduce you to someone who has been working with me for years,” Witherspoon said in a selfie video posted on her Instagram account.

“This is Marilee! And, she’s my double. Don’t we look alike?”

Lessley chimed in: “We do, we totally look alike.”

Bedazzled fans agreed.

“That’s insane,” said one. Said another, “Holy Jesus.” A third asked, “How are you two not related?”

Witherspoon, TK, added in the post that Lessley was working with her on the set of the second series of her HBO Golden Globe-winning drama Big Little Lies.

Mother-of-two Lessley, who calls herself an “entrepreneur momma” and “motivator” on her own Instagram account, has doubled for Witherspoon on five movies.

They first met on the 2003 set of  Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde.

“She looked so much like me and everybody [was] like, ‘You look so much alike!’ so she became my double,” Witherspoon said in a second clip from the Big Little Lies hair and makeup trailer.

The first movie they worked on together was 2005’s Just Like Heaven. Three years ago Lessley shared a throwback photo from the set without specifying she was Witherspoon’s body double.

“So many great memories on that film and met some great people who will always be lifelong friends!” she wrote.

In 2016, she wrote on social media that Witherspoon had supported her when she was going through “tragedies and trials” including her brother’s death and a divorce.

“Even told me I could go home paid,” said Lessley.

“I was grateful for her listening ear and advice … and touched at her caring heart.”

Next up for Witherspoon – and probably her doppelganger mother-of-three: the third instalment of Legally Blonde.

“It’s gonna be so fun!” Witherspoon told Entertainment Tonight this month.

In a recent meeting about the movie’s plot and characters, “I got so excited just in the meeting. I was like, ‘This is gonna be good.”
