Jennifer Aniston has admitted she “fantasizes” about a Friends reunion.

Interviewed for the coveted cover of InStyle’s September issue by her friend Molly Molly McNearney – the wife of Jimmy Kimmel – Aniston admitted “I talk about it” with her co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

“It really was the greatest job I ever had,” Aniston said.

“I don’t know what it would look like today, but you never know. So many shows are being successfully rebooted.”

The major spoke in the reunion wheel?

According to the actress, it’s Matt LeBlanc, whose loveable goofball Joey Tribbiani scored his own spinoff, Joey.

“I know Matt doesn’t want to be asked that question anymore,” she told InStyle.

“But maybe we could talk him into it. Or we just give it some time and then Lisa, Courteney, and I could reboot The Golden Girls and spend our last years together on wicker furniture.”

Aniston, who said she’s “not heartbroken” after her March split with husband Justin Theroux, hinted that her never having had children could be down to a medical issue. And that got us thinking.

Could a Friends reunion – the subject of many industry and fan rumours since it ended in 2004 after 10 seasons – actually be possible?

Or have its six stars, who all earned $US1 million ($1.36 million) per episode in the show’s last two seasons, moved on too much?

Here’s where they all are now:

Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green)

Aniston, perennially one of Hollywood’s most bankable dramatic and comedic stars, was snapped on July 31 rocking tiny Daisy Duke denim shorts next to co-star Adam Sandler on the Italian set of their Netflix comedy Murder Mystery.

The yoga fanatic lives in a magazine-worthy mid-century house above Los Angeles (it featured in Architectural Digest in February) and holidays regularly in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where she makes her own margaritas from “silver tequila and fresh lime on the rocks”.

Estimated worth: $291 million according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Courteney Cox (Monica Geller)

A single mother to daughter Coco, 14, with ex-husband David Arquette, Cox, 54, starred in TV shows Dirt and Cougar Town post-Friends, and had movie roles in 3000 Miles to Graceland and The Longest Yard.

She and Arquette own production company Coquette Productions, and she directed 2014 film Just Before I Go. She is due to marry on-off fiancé, Snow Patrol‘s Johnny McDaid this northern summer, with Aniston in her bridal party.

Estimated worth: $162 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay)

Married to advertising executive Michel Stern for 23 years and mother to son Julian, 23, Kudrow made global headlines in 2015 when Taylor Swift brought her onstage at a Los Angeles concert to perform Phoebe’s infamous Smelly Cat.

Her post-Friends acting CV includes roles in in The Comeback, Web Therapy and The Girl on the Train.

Kudrow, 51, and Stern sold their Park City, Utah, penthouse last year. She told Jimmy Kimmel in January she’s “handling it really well” with Julian away at college: “And, you know, like a mature adult. Happy that our son is away … It’s hard!”

Estimated net worth: $94 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

David Schwimmer (Ross Geller)

Schwimmer sparked anger in 2012 by tearing down an 1852 New York townhouse to build a six-storey mansion but won kinder appraisals (and an Emmy nomination) for his portrayal of lawyer Robert Kardashian in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

After seven years of marriage, he split in 2017 with British artist Zoë Buckman, mother of his daughter Cleo, 7. The actor, 51, who has worked on British and US stages, said the fame of Friends “really messed with my relationship to other people”.

Estimated net worth: $115 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani)

Apart from avoiding Friends questions, LeBlanc has been busy: he’s won a Golden Globe for Showtimes comedy Episodes and People’s Choice Awards for TV series Man With A Plan. His move roles have included Lost In Space and Charlie’s Angels.

Divorced from British model Melissa McKnight, LeBlanc, 51, announced in June he’s quitting as host of BBC 2’s Top Gear to spend more time with his daughter Marina, 13.

Estimated net worth: $108 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing)

The actor, 48, had big-screen roles opposite Salma Hayek and Bruce Willis before moving back to TV on The Good Wife, Go On and The Odd Couple.

After well-publicised battles with drug and alcohol addictions, Perry, 48, founded a rehab centre of his own, The Perry House, although he shut it down in 2016. Still, the Obama administration presented him with the Champion Of Recovery Award at the White House.

Estimated net worth: $108 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
