Instagram and Twitter are constantly buzzing – people lose and gain followers on social media on the daily.
But which accounts have the most followers and what photos have the most likes?

Who has the most Instagram followers?
The most followed person on Instagram is Selena Gomez, who currently has 135 million followers.
As the brand ambassador for Coach, Ms Gomez posts pictures with other famous friends, behind the scenes of her music videos and also advocates for campaigns such as March For Our Lives.

Kylie Jenner currently has the most liked Instagram photo. The photo was a name announcement of her first child Stormi.
After months of pregnancy rumours, Kylie Jenner finally confirmed the birth on IG. The photo has over 17 million likes.

Who has the most Twitter followers?
Katy Perry currently has the most Twitter followers with over 109 millions followers. She tweets about American Idol and her latest merchandise from shoes to makeup.

What is the most popular tweet?
The most popular tweet is Ellen DeGeneres Oscar’s selfie. It features celebrities including Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt.
The selfie has over 3 million retweets and became the most retweeted post within hours.
However many felt disappointed with the spontaneous selfie after The Wall Street Journal reported that the post was in part product placement for Samsung’s galaxy phone.

Who has the most fake followers?
In 2014, Instagram deleted all inactive accounts and spam-bots that left many users with less.
Business Insider found that Justin Bieber lost the most and Kim Kardashian came in second.
