Hollywood was shaken to its very foundations by the accusations of sexual misconduct levelled at powerhouse producer Harvey Weinstein, as broken by the New York Times.
Since the Weinstein bombshell, the dominos have fallen in Hollywood, as more women felt emboldened to speak out against the powerful and heavyweights of entertainment.
The latest to stand accused is Rocky star Sylvester Stallone and his bodyguard, who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl at a Las Vegas hotel more than three decades ago.
The 16-year-old girl filed a report with Las Vegas police, claiming she was “intimidated” into having sex with the then 40-year-old actor and bodyguard Michael De Luca in 1986, according to the Daily Mail.
The alleged victim was threatened by Stallone to not tell anyone after the incident, and if she did “they would have to beat her head in”, the paper reported.
Stallone, through his spokeswoman Michelle Bega, has denied the allegations, calling it a “ridiculous, categorically false story”.
As yet more women (and men) are emboldened to speak out against their accused abusers, we take a look at some of the most high-profile names involved.
