The acrimonious divorce between Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt continues, with Jolie claiming her ex-husband is “terrified the public will learn the truth” in a new court filing.

In documents seen by People magazine, the actor accuses Pitt of applying to have court documents sealed for fear of embarrassing details being made public.

Pitt recently accused Jolie of compromising the kids’ safety by filing court documents publicly.

But in the new filing, Jolie claimed Pitt was more concerned with protecting himself.

There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse.”

Jolie and Pitt met on the set of their 2005 film, Mr and Mrs Smith, when Pitt was still married to fellow actor Jennifer Aniston.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences, just two years after the pair married in a private ceremony in the chateau they own in France.

Pitt was subsequently investigated for allegedly abusing their son Maddox on a plane, but was cleared of any wrongdoing.
