A bloody confrontation at model Miranda Kerr’s Malibu mansion has reportedly left one person shot and another stabbed.

According to TMZ, a security guard confronted an intruder who jumped the fence, sparking an altercation.

The LA County Sheriff’s Office said the guard was stabbed near the eye and had minor injuries. “He produced a handgun and shot the intruder three to four times in the face and torso. Neither the guard nor the intruder has life threatening injuries.”

They posted a photo on Twitter, showing medics treating a “Malibu stabbing victim” in a helicopter, on the way to the trauma centre.

The intruder is expected to face charges.

“It’s kind of a crazy thing to happen out here in Malibu,” neighbour Craig Moore told local news outlet KTLA. “I guess it happens everywhere but we just don’t ever have it happen in our neighbourhood.”

Kerr and her five-year-old son Flynn were not home at the time of the incident.
