‘Old man Jackman’: Fans confused over Hugh’s aged appearance

Hugh Jackman has confused and intrigued fans with a series of Instagram posts showing him looking old beyond his 47 years.
The Australian actor, who is currently holidaying in New Mexico, has shared several snaps of himself sporting a thick, greying beard, and undereye bags.

The photos, which have received thousands of likes from Jackman’s 7.4 million Instagram followings, prompted many to comment that the beloved actor looked “sick” and “old”.
“Looks like he’s about 70!” one commenter observed, while another advised Jackman to “get back to that fountain of youth”.
Jackman’s new look is a far cry from selfies he posted mere months ago, showing him looking fresh faced and virtually wrinkle-free.
The dramatic transformation had some keen-eyed fans questioning whether Jackman is actually wearing prosthetics for an upcoming movie role.
It’s possible Jackman could be made up as Logan, his character in the Marvel Comics’ Wolverine franchise.

The photos have prompted speculation Jackman could reprise the role for a Wolverine sequel based on a comic book series titled Old Man Logan.
In the series an older, wiser Wolverine has settled down with a wife and children and stopped using his claws.
A third Wolverine film is currently in the works, but producer Simon Kinberg has kept the details largely under wraps, except for revealing the movie will be rated R.
It could be Jackman isn’t on holiday but rather is on location in full makeup filming the sequel.
That, or he really needs a new skincare regime.
