It’s been 20 years since the Spice Girls rocketed to fame with their debut single, Wannabe, and now the girls have revealed a reunion is finally happening.

Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton confirmed on Friday they want to celebrate with their fans, albeit without two founding members.

“You’ve stood by us for 20 years and we want to say a big thank you,” they said in the message on their newly launched site.

“We’ve had our ups and downs but you have always been there.

“We want to celebrate and have a party, and when we do, you’re all invited.”

The new website, Spice Girls GEM, is an acronym of the remaining members’ names, with Victoria Beckham and Mel C yet to reunite with the trio.

America’s Got Talent judge, Mel B, shed some light on their celebration plans, telling Access Hollywood: “it is actually happening.”

“We want to be able to celebrate properly and do something,” she said.

“Let’s put it this way, we are definitely going to be doing some concerts.

Although details of when the Spice Girls will begin their celebration are yet to be announced, as they get “all their ducks in order.”

“All will be revealed very, very soon.”
