Rupert Murdoch and supermodel Jerry Hall have announced their engagement after four months of dating.

Murdoch, 84, and Hall, 59, broke the news in the Births, Marriages and Deaths section of British newspaper The Times, which is owned by Murdoch’s company News Corp.

“Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger are delighted to announce their engagement,” the notice read.

Murdoch and Hall reportedly got engaged over the weekend in Los Angeles while in town for the Golden Globe Awards, which they attended together.

The pair first met in Australia last year when they were introduced by one of Murdoch’s sisters and his niece.

They have been dating for four months and made their public debut at the Rugby World Cup at Twickenham in October 2015.

The relationship is Murdoch’s first romantic foray since his split with Wendi Deng in 2013.

Hall is the former wife of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.
