Ryan Gosling rarely shares details about the private life he shares with partner Eva Mendes, but in a new interview the actor has let slip about one of his major relationship concerns.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, the actor, 35, opened up about his home life with Mendes, 41, and their one-year-old daughter, Esmerelda.

“This will be our first Christmas where [Esmeralda is] sort of taking it all in,” Gosling said. “So that’s exciting.”

While Gosling said there was no doubt Mendes was the woman he was meant to be with, he had one qualm about his partner of four years’ music taste.

“She’s obsessed with the Hanson Christmas album!” Gosling said of Mendes.

“No disrespect to Hanson, they’re very talented kids, but I think I’ve heard that record enough. I’m sure it will be on a loop this Christmas as well.”

Gosling is back on the publicity circuit after a hiatus from Hollywood to promote his upcoming movie with Russell Crowe, The Nice Guys.

He hosted American comedy show Saturday Night Live last week and concluded the show with a public declaration of love for his partner and daughter.

“Eva and Ezzy I love you,” Gosling said as the crowd cheered.

The Nice Guys is due in Australian cinemas on May 26, 2016.
