Supermodel Gigi Hadid’s iCloud has been hacked and her private photos are being held for ransom, according to reports.

Hadid, who is currently on top of her game having recently walked in the Victoria’s Secret runway show, is reportedly refusing to give in to the hackers’ demands and has alerted authorities.

The 20-year old hired a security company to track down the hackers, reported entertainment website TMZ.

In 2014, a number of high-profile celebrities including Kate Upton and Jennifer Lawrence had their iClouds hacked and released on the Internet.

Jennifer Lawrence hit back by appearing on the cover of Vanity Fair and calling the incident a “sex crime” rather than a “photo scandal”.

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this,” she said in the article.

“It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world.”

The images of up to 60 celebrities were leaked onto the anonymous forum 4chan by hackers attempting to earn bitcoins.
