Rapper Nicki Minaj has publicly criticised a Bill Cosby-inspired Halloween costume that makes light of the many allegations of sexual assault levelled against the Cosby Show star.
The two-person costume – which features a Cosby mask, one of his trademark sweaters and an unconscious female holding an drugged cocktail – went viral online over the Halloween weekend.
Minaj reposted a photo of the costume, originally shared by DJ Clue with the hashtag “#PillCosby”, on her own Instagram account, which boasts 37.3 million followers.
“Our generation is so desensitised,” Minaj captioned the photo.
Over 50 women have come forward to accuse the 78-year-old comedian of sexual assault in a period spanning more than 50 years.
Cosby has maintained his innocence throughout and has never been officially charged with a crime.
