As a member of the Stark family on hit TV series Game of Thrones, you’d think actor Richard Madden (aka Robb Stark) would be used to exercising a little diplomacy.
But a few choice words to Britain’s Style magazine showed his tongue is apparently sharper than the sword he wielded on the series.
In an interview with Style magazine, Madden was quoted talking about Delevingne’s appearance on US talk show Good Day Sacramento.
A video of the awkward interview regarding Delevingne’s role in movie Paper Towns went viral across the globe, after the show’s hosts accused the model of appearing “irritated” and disinterested.
Madden, who also played Prince Charming in Kenneth Branagh’s version of Cinderella, called Delevingne “unprofessional.”
“It made her seem ungrateful. She showed her age,” the 29-year-old said in the interview.
“For Cinderella I did six weeks of those interviews, where you get asked the same eight questions.”
He added that if she couldn’t do interviews “gracefully” then she shouldn’t do them at all.
The comments prompted 23-year-old Delevingne to tweet in response.
“I have no idea who you are but I think it’s little desperate for a grown man to be bad mouthing someone they don’t know,” she tweeted to Madden.
“If you really want attention that badly, try focusing on your own work and not other people’s,” she added in another tweet.
Madden replied saying he had nothing but respect for the young star and had been “misquoted.”
