You may think you know cubby houses, but you haven’t seen Prince George’s second birthday gift.

Thanks to British ‘hut-makers’ company Plankbridge, Prince George is the proud owner of a $38,000 cubby house, which boasts a bed and a stove.

A Prince’s Trust Loan from Prince Charles helped establish the cubby house company 15 years ago and, as a thank you, his grandson Prince George received the 12ft x 6ft gift.

Visitors to Highgrove House – where Prince Charles and his wife Camilla live – can spot the cubby house in the backyard.

The dream outdoor room was given to Prince Charles to bestow upon his grandson so George has a place to play when he visits.

According to The Telegraph the cubby house is installed on the edge of a wildflower garden, in the hope that Prince George will become enamoured with gardening just like his grandfather.

The paper also reports Prince George has tea parties with Prince Charles out in the small cottage using plastic cups.

Together, the pair have planted two saplings in the gardens of Highgrove.

After his second birthday, Prince George’s mother, Princess Kate the Duchess of Cambridge, revealed that her little man had been introducing himself as a three-year-old.
