Tiger Woods has been dumped by his champion skier girlfriend of three years on Facebook, with the statuesque blonde blaming their “incredibly hectic lives” for the breakup.
Lindsey Vonn, 30, and Woods, 39, met at a charity event in 2012 and began dating shortly after in Woods’ first public relationship after his marriage infidelity scandal in 2009.
In a post on her Facebook page on Monday, Vonn announced the pair had decided to call time on their three-year relationship.
“After nearly three years together, Tiger and I have mutually decided to end our relationship,” Vonn said.
“I will always cherish the memories that we’ve created together.
“Unfortunately, we both lead incredibly hectic lives that force us to spend a majority of our time apart.
“I will always admire and respect Tiger. He and his beautiful family will always hold a special place in my heart.”
The pair were spotted together just last month at the Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia.
The golfer released an almost-identical statement on his website and blamed their busy lives on their inability to spend time together.
“I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I’ll always cherish our time together,” Woods wrote.
“She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family.
“Unfortunately, we lead very hectic lives and are both competing in demanding sports. It’s difficult to spend time together.”
Woods was married to Swedish model Elin Nordegren from 2004 to 2010, with the pair separating after Woods admitted to a string of extramarital affairs.
