The 63-year-old actor, who took his own life on August 11, had called the area home for nearly 50 years.

According to the certificate, obtained by Radar Online, the late actor was cremated and his ashes scattered in his former home city.

While fans around the world have waited for details of a funeral to celebrate the late star’s life, the certificate also states that a low-key event has already taken place.

The funeral was reportedly held at Monte’s Chapel of the Hills in San Anselmo, California.

The official documentation describes Williams’ official cause of death, which is believed to be suicide, as “pending investigation”.
