Jaycee Chan, the 32-year-old son of Hong Kong actor and martial artist Jackie Chan, has been arrested in Beijing during a massive anti-drug crusade in mainland China.

According to a report in The Sydney Morning Herald, Beijing police confirmed on Monday that they had arrested the younger Chan at his home after a tip-off.

He and his friends were allegedly in possession of more than 100 grams of marijuana and the drug was also detected in their urine.

Jaycee is the latest to be apprehended in the nation-wide bust, which has already caught thousands.

As well as being a Hollywood favourite, Jackie Chan is a well-known anti-drugs campaigner who was appointed an official anti-drug ambassador to the Chinese government in 2009.

In 2011, he revealed that he had written Jaycee out of his will in favour of leaving his money to charity.

“If he is capable, he can make his own money,” he told Singapore’s Channel NewsAsia. “If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money.”
