Travolta had ‘intimate relationship’ with pilot
Grease star John Travolta may soon be faced with public revelations of a “personal and intimate relationship” with a male former employee.
Douglas Gotterba, a former pilot for Travolta’s airline Alto, this week won the legal right to argue in a lawsuit that he owes no confidentiality to the star and should be able to share details of their alleged past relationship.

Mr Gotterba claims to have had a more-than-professional dealings with Travolta during his six-year employment at the airline in the late 1980’s.
When he attempted to share his story with the National Inquirer in 2012, Mr Gotterba received a cease-and-desist order from Travolta’s attorney.
Travolta’s lawyers claim that when Mr Gotterba left the airline in 1987, he was warned not to disclose “confidential or proprietary information”.
Mr Gotterba argues that the agreement did not contain a confidentiality clause.
Travolta married actress Kelly Preston in 1991 and the pair had three children together.
The couple’s son Jett died in 2009 at the age of 16 from a seizure.
According to The Independent, in response to the ruling, Travolta’s legal team said: “While we believe that the Court should have thrown out Gotterba’s lawsuit at the outset, ultimately he will not prevail on his claim.”
