Is Kanye West and Jay Z’s friendship over?

The friendship between rappers Kanye West and Jay Z appears to be on the rocks after West omitted his friend’s name from lyrics in three different songs during a performance.

Videos have emerged online from West’s performance at the X Games in Austin last week, where he reportedly dropped friend Jay Z’s name from several lyrics.

While performing his song Cold, the rapper can be heard changing the original lyrics of “Lucky I ain’t had Jay drop him from the team” to “Lucky I ain’t had … drop him from the team.”

According to a report by Huffington Post, West did the same when performing his song Blood on the Leaves, where he normally sings “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to Jay Z.”

The latest development comes after weeks of speculation that the relationship between the friends was on thin ice after Jay Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, missed his good friend’s wedding.

West, 36, married TV star Kim Kardashian in a lavish ceremony in Italy last month, but Carter and his wife Beyonce decided to miss the event to holiday in the Hamptons.

Neither Carter or Beyonce have commented on why they missed their good friend’s wedding, with Beyonce instead wishing them congratulations on social media site Instagram.

Carter has been a mentor for West since the early stages of his career, and it was on Carter’s album The Blueprint that West had his first breakthrough.
