George Michael rushed to hospital after collapse

Singer George Michael has been reportedly rushed to hospital after collapsing at his London mansion.

UK tabloid The Mirror has reported paramedics arrived at 8am London time at the Wham! star’s North London home after a friend called an ambulance.

The paramedics spent four hours at the 50-year-old’s house, before taking the star to hospital for further treatment.

A statement from Michael’s agent did not say whether he was still in hospital reading: “George Michael was in hospital for routine tests.”

The London Ambulance Service also issued a statement: “We were called just before 8am. We sent two ambulance crews and staff treated a man, who was taken to hospital.”

The singer almost died in 2011 of pneumonia and has battled depression and drug addiction.
