Four years after her seemingly perfect marriage to golfer Tiger Woods combusted for the world to see, Elin Nordegren has broken her silence about her husband’s infidelity.
In an interview with People magazine, Nordegren has said her relationship with her cheating ex-husband is “really good”.
“I have moved on and I am in a good place,” she shared. “My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good – we really are – and I am so happy that is the case. He is a great father.”
The couple divorced in 2010 after a very public bust-up in late 2009 lead to revelations of Woods’ various affairs.
Over a dozen women emerged admitting to having sexual relations with the American professional golfer.
“In the beginning, you tamp down the animosity for the kids’ sake,” Nordegren, who has two young children with Woods, told the magazine.
“I’m not going to deny that I went through the wringer. But I don’t think I doubted we’d end up here. That was always my dream, that the kids can have two loving parents that show respect for each other. And I feel that’s what they have.”
The couple, who live 25 minutes from each other in Florida, share custody of Sam, 6, and Charlie, 5.
Nordregren admitted that she still sees a therapist each week to “work on myself” and underwent intensive therapy immediately after the split.
