Miranda’s singing debut

Miranda Kerr’s duet with Bobby Fox

Supermodel Miranda Kerr has expanded her empire with a foray into the musical world, releasing her duet with Jersey Boys star Bobby Fox.

The song, called “You’re the Boss”, was originally recorded by LaVern Baker and Jimmy Ricks in 1961 and then covered by Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret for the 1964 film Viva Las Vegas.

Kerr and Fox teamed up to record the song for Fox’s new album, The Fantastic Mr Fox.

The Irish crooner spoke highly of his model musical counterpart, saying she was “very hands on” and “inspiring” to work with.

In a behind the scenes video, the pair talk about recording the song in a hotel room wardrobe only one day after first meeting each other.

The music video for the song, shot over one night in the Palace hotel in New York, is sultry with a vintage vibe and documents a flirtation between Kerr and Fox before the two meet in a cab.

Australian cinematographer Zoë White, who worked on the clip, described the shoot as “intense and exciting” despite the hectic filming schedule.

“Miranda was delightful, full of beans,” Ms White said.

“She effortlessly charmed us all through what could have been a gruelling night.”
