Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom separate on good terms

Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom are the latest celebrity couple heading to splitsville.

After six years and one child together, the pair announced their separation with a joint statement on October 25.

However, the split appears to be more amicable than most. Stepping out in New York the day after the news broke, the couple were arm in arm and presented a united front with their 2 year-old son Flynn.

Bloom was the first to speak out about the end of the relationship, telling photographers outside his apartment,

“Life is a mystery, you know. It doesn’t always work out the way you want…but it’s all good. We’re family.”

While the 30 year-old Australian model has kept quiet on the topic, her English husband continues to discuss the break up, confiding in talk-show host Katie Couric on November 1.

“We love each other. We’re a family. We’re going to be in each other’s lives for the rest of our lives,” he said. “There’s no question that for the sake of our son and everything else, we’re going to support one another and love each other as parents to Flynn.”

Kerr’s grandmother, Ann Kerr, spoke to Who Weekly and concurred that a shared love of Flynn would prevent the couple from ever completely leaving each other’s lives.

“They both adore that little boy, so that alone will keep them tied together.”
