Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are engaged.

West proposed to his partner in the typical no-holds-barred style the world has come to expect from the couple dubbed “KimYe”.

The I Am a God singer used Kardashian’s 33rd birthday as the opportunity to ask her to marry him, while the pair were at the AT&T baseball stadium in San Francisco, E Online reports.

West, 36,reportedly asked for the reality TV star’s hand with a 15-carat diamond ring from celebrity jeweller Lorraine Schwartz.

A photo later appeared on Instagram showing a screen at the stadium that read ‘‘PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE’’.

West then arranged for a 50-piece black-clad orchestra to play US singer Lana Del Ray’s Young and Beautiful, as well as his own smash hit Knock You Down, the E Online report adds.

Kardashian gave birth to the couple’s first child, North, in June.

This will be the first marriage for West. Kardashian was previously married to NBA star Kris Humphries for just 72 days in 2011 and R&B producer Damon Thomas, who she divorced in 2004.
