Beyoncé ‘Queen B’ Knowles has announced the arrival of twins, son Sir Carter and daughter Rumi, on social media with a suitably elaborate photo celebrating their one-month birthdays.

Posing nude like a modern Lady Madonna in front of an arch of fresh blooms and adorned with an aqua-coloured bridal veil, the singer is captured cradling her twins in the Instagram announcement posted Friday.

The social media post confirms Beyoncé and rapper husband Jay-Z welcomed the latest additions into the world one month ago, the happy event miraculously flying under the media’s radar.

The songstress captioned the photo: “Sir Carter and Rumi 1 month today,” with accompanying emojis representing the growing family of five.

Sir Carter is a version of Jay-Z’s real name, Shawn Carter, while the name Rumi was perhaps most famously held by 13th-century Persian-Muslim poet, Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi.

The babies’ names have reportedly both already been trademarked by the music power couple.

E! News reported ‘Bey’ gave birth to the twins at a Los Angeles-based hospital via a planned C-section.

The twins reportedly left the hospital about a week after they were born to live at the family’s summer Malibu mansion, known as La Villa Contenta.

The image is strikingly similar to the photo Beyonce shared to announce her pregnancy in February. Holding her burgeoning stomach and dressed in lingerie, the singer was draped in a green veil as she nestled in a magnificent bouquet.

In the post liked by more than 11 million followers, the singer preemptively thanked fans for their well wishes.

“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes,” she wrote.

Beyonce and Jay-Z, who have been married since 2008, are already parents to five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
