Boy George creates shockwaves: ‘I slept with Prince’

Pop star Boy George created shockwaves on The Voice UK when he said he’d slept with music icon Prince.

George, 54, a coach on the reality show, had been in a conversation with fellow coaches about who he’d collaborated with in his career.

“I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson,” George told Ricky Wilson, Will.i.am and Paloma Faith.

Faith responded, “Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there I’ve performed with Prince.”

George replied, “Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.”

According to a report in The Sun, the audience responded hysterically to George’s comment.

A source told the paper. “After that, Boy George started backtracking saying he hadn’t really slept with Prince and that in reality, he just had his poster on his wall.”

A spokesperson for The Voice is adamant Boy George was joking in his references to Prince.
