Paris Hilton fears for her life in ‘cruel’ plane prank

An Egyptian reality television show has been criticised after it played a terrifying prank on American personality Paris Hilton.

The show, titled Ramez in Control and hosted by Egyptian actor Ramez Galal, tricked Hilton into boarding a private plane for a 15-minute tour of Dubai.

Once on board, Hilton and her friends were subjected to nearly 10 minutes of harrowing turbulence while the plane – actually a stunt plane – plummeted through the sky.

In a clip from the show, Hilton can be seen screaming and crying after the plane takes a dramatic plunge.

She then watches as two men jump out of the falling plane, before insisting, “I don’t want to jump”.

Once the plane safely landed, the 34-year-old was visibly relieved, exclaiming: “Oh my God, thank God.”

“I told you I didn’t want to go on that plane,” Hilton insisted through tears.

“I am so sorry, I am a bad guy, I’m naughty,” Galal responded, “This is prank show … I love you.”

“Dude, I almost thought I was going to die,” The Simple Life star retorted. “That’s been my biggest fear my whole life, dying in a plane.

“I have never had turbulence like that in my life. I am shaking.”

“Did you really believe our job?” Galal asked, laughing.

“Dude, this is taking it to another level,” Hilton responded.

“I have seen Punk’d but you guys put me in a plane and almost killed me.”

The extreme prank has garnered condemnation from around the world, particularly given recent events in the aviation world like the fatal crashes of flights MH370 and MH17.
