According to the show’s producer Netflix, Rose is set to play an inmate named Stella Carlin “whose sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield’s inmates”.

Rose, who describes herself as “gender fluid” and is openly bisexual, will reportedly play love interest to both of the show’s main protagonists, Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Alex (Laura Prepon).

The model and DJ took to Elle magazine’s Facebook page to announce the news herself, writing: “Read about my new role on a small unheard of series called Orange Is The New Black (insert sarcasm)”.

The critically-acclaimed show has been hailed as groundbreaking for its representation of lesbian relationships and is popular amongst global audiences.
