Adam Goodes booed again in match at Etihad stadium

St Kilda fans are being accused of booing Sydney Swans’ veteran Adam Goodes during his side’s 97-point thrashing of the Saints.

Reports on social media suggest Goodes was booed during the first quarter of the match when he had his first touch, then again when he kicked a goal in the second quarter.

The booing comes three rounds after Goodes returned from a break, which he took after last month’s booing controversy came to a head.

Australia and the AFL was divided during the booing saga, with many accusing those who jeered the 2014 Australian of the Year as racist.

However many others argued the booing was because of Goodes’ acting for free kicks and other on-field actions they deemed to be unsporting.

Football fans from all teams took to Twitter during the match and after to support Goodes and denounce the booing as racist.

The 300-game veteran and duel premiership player went on to kick three goals in the Swans’ victory.
