Footage has emerged of Nick Kyrgios delivering a second sex-related sledge to opponent Stan Wawrinka.

The furore erupted during the pair’s match at the ATP Montreal Masters, when Kyrgios, referring to young Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis, told the world number five: “Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend. Sorry to tell you that, mate.”

Kyrgios has since been fined by the ATP and apologised to Wawrinka, who expressed his anger on Twitter.

The second slur is said to have happened before the one in the vision that originally went viral, and it again refers to 19-year-old Croatian player Donna Vekic, who Wawrinka is reportedly dating.

‘Djoker’ doesn’t see the funny-side

World number one ranked tennis player Novak Djokovic has led the criticism levelled toward Nick Kyrgios for his crude comment.

Djokovic, speaking after a win at the same tournament in Montreal, said there is no excuse for that type of barb, no matter what the stakes are.

“I think he was fined, I think it’s official and he deserved it, he’s going to learn a lesson in a hard way,” he said.

“I understand every player goes through certain tantrums and emotional ups and downs in a match, in a big fight, and at this level it’s not easy, I understand.

“But it’s not fair and there’s no excuse for directing your tantrums to your opponent and especially to somebody that is not even there.”

Wawrinka, who separated from his wife earlier this year and has been linked to Vekic, said the ATP should take “major action this time”.

As well as the maximum $10,000 on-site fine, the ATP said they could not rule out further sanctions.

“He was fined, he deserved it,” added Djokovic. “He’s young, he’s definitely one of the players that everybody’s looking to.

“His quality of tennis is really remarkable for his age. He’s doing very well.

“I’ve never had any problems with him personally. Off the court we had nice chats, practised with each other.”

Kyrgios was back on court later on Thursday and was booed before and after his third round match against John Isner of the United States.

No.16 seed Isner beat the Australian 7-5 6-3 and will face Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, who overcame Ivo Karlovic 4-6 7-6 (7/1) 6-4 after the Croatian had passed the 10,000-ace career mark during his win in the previous round.
