Aussies bowl their way to Test victory in Jamaica

Australia have completed the perfect pre-Ashes preparation with a comprehensive 277-run win over the West Indies.

The Windies were bowled out for just 114 in their second innings on day four of the second Test at Jamaica’s Sabina Park.

The victory secures Australia a 2-0 series win and will give them confidence as they prepare to head to England for the upcoming Ashes campaign.

Could Clarke have longer left than we thought?

The pace trio of Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Johnson all had success on Sunday as Australia charged to victory.

Starc (3-34) began the rout when he bowled Shane Dowrich (4) with a vicious in-swinger.

Hazlewood (2-18), the leading wicket-taker in the series, then chimed in with the wickets of Darren Bravo (11) and Jermaine Blackwood (0) as the Windies slid to 5-33.

Young gun Shai Hope (16) was undone by Johnson (2-23) with a delivery that moved sharply off the pitch to cannon into his stumps.

Shane Watson (1-3) picked up his first wicket of the series when Jason Holder (1) offered a simple catch to Starc at midwicket.

After lunch Johnson ended a 49-run eighth-wicket stand when he removed Windies captain Denesh Ramdin (29) before Nathan Lyon (2-12) wrapped up the match with two wickets in as many balls.
