Force find form, but fall short against Chiefs

A brave Western Force outfit has fallen short against the Chiefs, losing 35-27 in their Super Rugby clash at Waikato Stadium.

Tries to Charlie Ngatai, Hika Elliott, Tim Nanai-Williams and a second-half penalty try proved enough for the Chiefs, but the Force came roaring back late on despite Ian Prior’s 28th-minute red card.

The Force made the hosts nervous with Heath Tessman’s late try four minutes from time, but ultimately fell a point short of a bonus-point loss.

More to come.
