Sat Feb 14 – Australia v England, Melbourne
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Channel 9, Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand, cricket.com.au

What better way to open the tournament in Australia. A crowd close to 90,000 is expected for a clash against the old rivals. Expect a lively atmosphere. Stuart Broad might not be popular.

Sat Feb 21 – Australia v Bangladesh, Brisbane
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Channel 9, Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand, cricket.com.au

A match you’ve been unable to forget if you’ve read any Michael Clarke story in the past month. His fitness deadline ends here – and he should play in what looks like a routine win.

Sat Feb 28 – New Zealand v Australia, Auckland
Start Time: 12pm AEDT
TV: Channel 9, Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand, cricket.com.au

A litmus test against an in-form New Zealand side on home soil. We’ll need to play well to win this.

Wed Mar 4 – Australia v Afghanistan, Perth
Start Time: 5.30pm AEDT
TV: GEM, Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand, cricket.com.au

A post-work treat on Hump Day. Expect some squad rotation from the Aussies, who will be after some batting practice.

Sun Mar 8 – Australia v Sri Lanka, Sydney
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Channel 9, Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand, cricket.com.au

Sri Lanka’s team is laden with talent and Australia must bowl smartly in this one. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon/evening on the couch.

Sat Mar 14 – Australia v Scotland, Hobart
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Channel 9, Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand, cricket.com.au

So starved of international cricket over the past 12 months, expect a big Tasmanian crowd in attendance – even if this is likely to be incredibly one-sided.

Sat Feb 14 – New Zealand v Sri Lanka, Christchurch
Start Time: 9am AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

The tournament opener – and one you can watch for more than five hours before flicking to Australia v England.

Sun Feb 15 – India v Pakistan, Adelaide
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

More than one billion people, worldwide, are expected to tune in for this one. That many people can’t be wrong.

Mon Feb 16 – Ireland v West Indies, Nelson
Start Time: 9am AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

This might look out of place on this list but we think the West Indies – doing their best to resemble a basket case – will battle to make it out of Pool B. Ireland could end up taking their spot and this has upset written all over it.

Fri Feb 20 – New Zealand v England, Wellington
Start Time: 12pm AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

Assuming England lose their opener against Australia, defeat here would put them 0-2 and really put the pressure on. Or could they surprise the tournament co-hosts?

Sat Feb 21 – Pakistan v West Indies, Christchurch
Start Time: 9am AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

Two sides that can be world-beaters one day, and hopeless the next. Expect the unexpected.

Sun Feb 22 – India v South Africa, Melbourne
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

Already organisers are starting to talk up a potential sell-out. Pool B’s two stand-out sides will hopefully give them a great game of cricket.

Fri Feb 27 – South Africa v West Indies, Sydney
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

When the two sides met in Johannesburg last month, South Africa star AB de Villiers clobbered 149 off a ridiculous 44 deliveries. His hundred came from a world-record 31. A repeat is out of the question … surely?

Sun Mar 1 – England v Sri Lanka, Wellington
Start Time: 9am AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

With Australia and New Zealand expected to fight it out for the top two spots in Pool A, this clash could have ramifications on who makes the last eight – if Bangladesh are in form.

Sat Mar 7 – Pakistan v South Africa, Auckland
Start Time: 12pm AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

South Africa could have already qualified for the quarter-finals – giving Pakistan a chance for an upset.

Mon Mar 9 – Bangladesh v England, Adelaide
Start Time: 2.30pm AEDT
TV: Fox Sports
Radio: ABC Grandstand

Potential battle for fourth spot in Pool A. Organisers would love that.
