Australia’s Cameron Bairstow continues to impress in the NBA’s Summer League, playing a starring role for Chicago in their win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The power forward and teammate Tony Snell led the Bulls with 18 points apiece in Friday’s (AEST) 79-68 victory, including a remarkable shot-clock beating three-pointer.

There’s talk he’ll get an extension to his deal.

He grabbed a team-high eight rebounds with no turnovers in his 22 minutes on court.

The triumph took the Bulls’ League record to 4-0, earning them a quarter-final match-up against the Sacramento Kings this weekend.

Bairstow, who’s played in all four Summer League games, is fighting for a NBA contract after being picked up by the Bulls in the second round of last month’s Draft.

There are some suggestions the franchise has already offered the 23-year-old big man a three-year deal on the back of his performances over the past week.

The Queenslander, after four years playing for the University of New Mexico, has been named in Australia’s preliminary squad for September’s basketball World Cup.

Meanwhile, compatriot and fellow Boomer Dante Exum only managed five points in the Utah Jazz’s victorious clash with the San Antonio Spurs.

It wasn’t much fun for the No.5 pick, who missed four of five three-pointers and a trio of jump shots.

The Jazz’s 2-2 record has failed to earn them a place in the quarter-finals and on Saturday they will play in the consolation bracket.
