New app makes buying your new home a breeze

A new app aims to make the homebuying experience a simpler, quicker and more enjoyable one.

The realestateVIEW.com.au free iPhone app is geared to time-poor mobile users who want immediate,
high-quality visual access to property in their-sought-after location as well as accompanying
up-to-date information.
RealestateVIEW’s head of product and technology, Raymond Smit, says the app makes searching for real estate easy.

Mr Smit says the app provides a one-stop shop for any person seeking to buy, rent or sell property. And he believes it will rapidly become the portable tool of choice for house hunters.

Mr Smit says realestateVIEW put “a lot of effort” over 12 months into creating an app which gives the property seeker a comprehensive and
highly visual picture of available homes in their preferred location.

Create a list of inspection times and place them into your smartphone calendar to make house hunting days a breeze!

“We wanted to paint the picture for the user so they could make a more informed decision when they are
researching a suburb or area to buy in,” Mr Smit says.

“We have really made use of the screen to
offer the seeker an emerging experience with big photos and detailed property information as well as recommendations
for similar properties in the area.’’

Mr Smit says this new innovation takes this popular technology to another level.

“The app goes beyond the listing,” he says. “We have added recently sold properties for the area as well as points of interest such as schools, public transport, traffic, cafes, restaurants and hospitals.”

Importantly, Mr Smit points out that the app brings the property seeker and the real estate agent together much earlier in the homebuying process. He says the agent’s image and contact details are available on the app so the home seeker has a head start in the search for a property.

The app’s major features include:

HEAT MAPS: The property searcher can visually access and compare median prices, weekly rent and monthly
loan repayments for specific areas, and overlay them with heat maps of points of interest and recently sold properties.

SUGGESTED PROPERTIES: Gain access to similar properties based on previous searches and property requirements.

REAL-TIME DATA: Get the latest sales and auction results to help ascertain property values in the area.

POINTS OF INTEREST: These community services include schools, public transport, supermarkets, service
stations, restaurants, banks and medical centres.

FRESH LAYOUT AND VISUALS: These allow searchers to easily navigate the app.

OPEN FOR INSPECTIONS: Users can narrow their search focus by shortlisting their preferred properties, creating a list of inspection times and placing them into the smartphone calendar.
