Shooting reported outside Melbourne’s Crown casino

Several streets have been locked down in inner Melbourne near Crown Casino as police search for a man wanted in relation to an early morning shooting.

Police were called to Queensbridge Street, Southbank, at about 4.15am on Thursday after being called to a shooting incident.

No-one was injured, Nine Network reported.

A large police presence was at the scene well into the morning, with dozens of officers scouring the area as they continue their investigation. A crime scene has been established.

It is understood a man is on the run, brandishing a hand gun on Melbourne’s fringe.

Police closed off Power Street between Queensbridge Street and City Road.
