Controversial property developer Salim Mehajer has filmed himself threatening to rape the parents of his estranged wife in disturbing videos aired on Channel Nine’s A Current Affair on Monday night.

Mehajer, who gained notoriety after illegally closing off his Lidcombe street for an over-the-top wedding to Aysha Learmonth last August, apparently filmed the videos in a car and sent them to Ms Learmonth.

One video shows him screaming into the camera: “Aysha, you’ve got five minutes to give me a call. If you don’t call me in five minutes I’m going to rape your mum. Your mum and your f***ing dad. Call me now.”

The second video includes Mr Mehajer speaking in Arabic as he abuses Ms Learmonth.

“Aysha, I hope you die, you sl**,” Mehajer shouts.

“I swear on the Quran, I swear on God, I’m not leaving today.

“And I hope you die, you f***ing sl**. You f***ed 12 guys, you sl**. You f***ed 12 guys. You f***ing sl**. You f***ing sl**.”

Ms Learmonth applied for an apprehended violence order against Mr Mehajer in July.

The release of the upsetting videos comes just a day after Mr Mehajer made headlines for the production of a more polished, but very bizarre production entitled ‘Dream Motivational Video’.

The Dream video was first posted on Mr Mehajer’s Facebook page and depicts him driving a Ferrari accompanied by a voiceover advising people how to become “an inspiration” and “make it to the top”.

Mr Mehajer’s Facebook page appeared to be offline on Monday night.

Mr Mehajer has seldom been out of the news since his headline-grabbing wedding last year.

Since then, he has come under intense scrutiny for his business and political dealings at the now-suspended Auburn Council, as well as for allegedly threatening personal trainer Bruce Herat in October 2015.

He insisted on standing at a lectern to address a Nine News reporter in an interview in which he professed an ambition to become prime minister.

“I would like to start off by being in state, federal and I’d like to make my way up to the very top spot,” he said. “That would [be] my dream come true”.

At his 2015 wedding, Mr Mehajer arrived in one of four helicopters before driving to the ceremony as part of a fleet of luxury sports cars.

He also released a wedding video which depicted a professionally produced, semi-fictionalised version of his courtship of Ms Learmonth.

The video that started it all

Mr Mehajer was later fined $220 for illegally shutting down his street for the wedding after distributing a fake flyer warning residents that their cars would be towed if they were not cleared from the area.
