Wilson Security to stop servicing detention centres
Wilson Security has announced it will stop servicing Australia’s offshore detention centres.
The move follows the leak of a huge archive of files detailing allegations of abuse on Nauru.
In a statement, Wilson said providing security services to Nauru and Manus Island was no longer in line with its long-term strategic priorities.
It said its contract would conclude in October 2017.
The announcement comes after reports the lead contractor on Nauru would not re-tender for the contract after it expires in February.
