One house and several cars have been lost in a bushfire in Perth’s east, but the alert level has been downgraded.

Sparked by lightning, the blaze in the southeastern part of Forrestdale has been downgraded to an advice, while the all-clear has been given to surrounding areas.

But the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says a watch-and-act alert is in place for the Dalyup area, west of Esperance, in the state’s far south.

Flames are higher than rooftops and may burn into treetops, DFES warns.

The blaze was reported on January 4 and has burnt about 3000 hectares.

The cause is a reignition of a previous fire caused by lightning.

An advice remains in place for the eastern part of Two Peoples Bay near Albany.

That blaze, which started on January 1, is considered suspicious and has burnt 2080 hectares.

A lightning-sparked fire in Hopeland, in Perth’s south, that burnt 100 hectares has also been downgraded to an advice.
