A suspected drunk driver has caused a lot of puns on social media after crashing his car and attempting to escape the local police in England by hiding in the hay of a nearby nativity scene. A Japanese website has created a fabric spray inspired by the scent of cat’s foreheads. The creators worked with a perfumery to create the product, designed to freshen up sheets and fabric with the alluring smell of concentrated moggie. In a scene more suited to sitcom Parks and Recreation than real life, a town in North Carolina has blocked a proposal to build a solar farm because residents are concerned it would suck all the energy out of the sun. Locals also believed the farm would discourage business in the town, prevent plants from photosynthesising and even cause cancer. Read more

Firms in South Korea are addressing the nations high suicide rate in the most drastic way possible – by making staff stage their own death. Employees have been asked to sign mock wills and write final letters to their families before shutting themselves in a coffin for ten minutes and going through the motions of their own death.
