A man who allegedly supplied crystal methamphetamine, or ice, on 146 occasions in a three-week period has been arrested.

The 52-year-old was detained by police on Darlinghurst Road in Kings Cross.

He was charged with ongoing supply of a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited drug, and dealing with proceeds of crime.

Police allege the man was the primary supplier of ice in the area, known among local drug users as “Mr Ice”.

Police further allege that over a 21-day period, the man supplied “ice” on at least 146 occasions.

A Kings Cross Local Area Command strike force, formed last month, investigated the supply of methamphetamine and the arrest was a result of these efforts.

He was refused bail and will appear before Central Local Court on Thursday.
