Two prison escapees on the run

Two escapee prisoners are still on the run, while a third has been captured, after allegedly breaking out of a minimum security jail in Western Australia.

Police confirmed Bryan Symes, 31, Robert Flanagan, 25 and Lyle Ryan, 20, fled from the Greenough Regional Prison, south-east of Geraldton, about 9.30pm Monday, by scaling barbed wire fences.

By 2am on Tuesday, Symes was arrested by police.

Police said Flanagan and Ryan remained on the run, and while they were not considered dangerous, they warned the public not to approach the pair.

They said anyone who spotted the men should phone triple zero.

The minimum security jail is located about 420km north of Perth.
